What we plan to do with this land

Like many concessions in northern Botswana, NG43 was used for hunting in the past. That is part of this place’s history – just as it is part of the history of many wilderness areas in Africa. And we make no secret of it.

We have taken over the management to give the land a different future: photo tourism instead of hunting, for the entire duration of our concession. A land that is allowed to find peace. Animals that can stay. And people from the region who work here, learn and find prospects for the future.

The beauty of it all lies in what emerges from it. Since the land has been under our management, we have watched it breathe a sigh of relief: elephants pass through as if they’d never had anything to fear, zebras follow their ancient migration routes, and life gathers at the waterholes. Anyone visiting today will see the beginning of this recovery. Anyone returning in ten years’ time will see what is possible when you simply give a piece of land time.

This is the path we have chosen for this land.
